The monograph by Beata Kopecka deals with semantic aspects of language and is the latest contribution to the body of work created at the Rzeszow School of Diachronic Semantics led by Professor Grzegorz A. Kleparski. It describes lexis from the diachronic perspective. an approach which is difficult and in Poland undertaken only infrequently. In particular, it concentrates on the study of metaphorization processes and historical semantics using a novel methodological approach.
